Let excellence permeate all aspects of life
|
Hi, my name is Anna Compton! I am a recent graduate from Anderson University where I studied communication with a concentration in public relations and a minor in marketing. I was voted the 2016/2017 Anderson Homecoming Queen by our student body and selected as baccaulaeareate by my school's administration. I am constantly striving to prove the millennial expectation of apathy and laziness wrong.
I love people, hard work, and good coffee. I firmly believe that any job worth doing, is worth doing well. This includes, but is not limited to, cutting 200 note cards, updating an informational spreadsheet, or planning an extensive marketing campaign for a customer. Excellence should permeate every aspect of life. I also strive to challenge myself. I do this in several different ways, some of which are reading new books, taking classes outside my major, eating strange foods, exercising regularly, and meeting people that are of different backgrounds or ethnicity. I love to learn. I hope there never comes a day when I am not a student of all people. It is a goal I have to be able to learn from anyone and everyone - no matter their station or situation. I have learned from cleaning staffs, mailmen, and senior vice presidents at SYNNEX marketing. Everyone has something to give, but not everyone is humble enough to learn. I hope that I can always look back and say that I was teachable and then humble enough to apply that teaching. |
